(Edmonton, AB) May 11, 2010 – After such a successful show in 2009, the Canadian Country Music Awards has had no problem receiving the green light for acts wanting to take part in this year’s awards show, set for Sunday September 12 at Rexall Place in Edmonton, AB.

It was announced today that the 2010 CCMA awards show will feature country all-stars George Canyon, Terri Clark, Doc Walker and Johnny Reid. From Fans’ Choice to Vocalist to Rising Star, these performers have over 50 CCMA wins under their belts – Canada’s country talent will be well represented.

“By saying yes to our invitation, the cream of the Canadian country crop have said that the CCMA awards show is a stellar celebration that they are proud to be a part of”, said executive producer Scott Henuset of Corkscrew Media. “We’re excited to see who else, in the next few weeks, will RSVP to the party.”

George Canyon has been honoured with eight CCMA awards including the prestigious CCMA Humanitarian Award in 2008. Terri Clark, the seven-time Fans’ Choice Award winner, has made 17 trips to the CCMA podium. Also sitting at number 17 is one of the most celebrated country musical groups Doc Walker, who have just returned from a successful tour in Australia. And with his latest release being certified triple platinum in just three weeks, ten-time CCMA award winner Johnny Reid continues to break records and win the hearts of fans and critics.
