TORONTO, ON (February 4, 2016) – With the kick off of a national tour in support of his brand new album “I Got This” (ole red dot), around the corner, Canadian country legend George Canyon announced today that he is partnering with the popular western clothing brand Wrangler® for the “Jekyll and Nothing to Hide” cross Canada tour which officially launches tomorrow night in Calgary, AB.

The partnership creates a new dynamic that pairs the iconic Wrangler brand with Canyon’s authentic sound and trailblazing attitude.  As the official tour sponsor, Wrangler is helping Canyon take the personal and highly praised songs featured on his 11th studio album, “I Got This,” to audiences across the nation on his headlining tour.

“Country music and the Wrangler brand is a combination for good times,” said Jason Moorehead, Vice President, Canada. “Wrangler is thrilled and honored to partner with Canadian Country Music Artist, George Canyon as the official sponsor of the “Jekyll and Nothing to Hide Tour”. The Wrangler brand is a proud supporter of Country Music and is excited to be on tour with George celebrating the release of his new album, ‘I GOT THIS’”.

“There is nothing better than the fusion of an iconic brand with an iconic artist,” said Jim Cressman, President & CEO – Invictus Entertainment Group.  “We’re happy to welcome Wrangler to the George Canyon family.  Literally, a perfect fit!”

An exceptional role model and mentor – highly praised for supporting Canadian artists, Canyon confirmed earlier this month that he will employ local support in each city on the tour, thus furthering his humble efforts towards promoting and nurturing local talent. Limited VIP packages are available at georgecanyon.com/shop for each market.

“I Got This” marks Canyon’s eleventh full-length release in a career that spans nearly two decades and includes his PLATINUM debut “One Good Friend”, along with several GOLD-certified albums, including “Classics”, “Somebody Wrote Love” and the Richard Marx produced “Better Be Home Soon”. With nearly 400,000 albums sold worldwide, multiple major acting roles on television, and the 2015 launch of his ECMA nominated radio show “Down East Country with George Canyon”, the singer-songwriter has cemented his status as a bona fide multi-faceted artist and performer.

A Nova Scotia native, Canyon was recently inducted into the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame and has been widely decorated with a number of accolades including multiple CCMA and ECMA Awards in addition to his multiple JUNO Award wins. As the national spokesperson for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and a vocal advocate and supporter of the Canadian Military, Canyon was also presented with the CCMA “Humanitarian of the Year” Award in recognition of his philanthropic endeavours with both organizations.
