George - I want to thank you so much for everything you are doing to support our Canadian guys and gals in Afghanistan. It means the world to us, the families at home, that you devoted your time to perform for them on Canada Day, and that you sent a personal farewell message to them on their departure. To top it off, the personal touch for me, personally, to get positive thoughts delivered from Kandahar, was incredible. Thanks so much again for standing behind those who serve, and their families.

I just wanted to tell you, I know you wrote that song "My Name" for a friend and his wife, but you have touched so many others with it. Last year, we lost our son to still birth. I was 5 1/2 months along, so we knew he was a boy, and we did know his name. However since we lost him, we have been trying for another baby, it took us 10 months to finally concieve and then we had a miscarrige at 7 1/2 weeks along. It was heartbreaking.. and it felt like such a different loss. In a way, I felt like I was dishonoring that child because since we didn't know gender, we couldn't name him/her. Your song just brought peace to me that I've needed to feel for the last couple of months. Thank you so, so very much. I can't begin to tell you what it means to me. Your words are a blessing to myself and so many others I'm sure. Thank you George. I pray that you continue to be blessed.

Sincerely, Kristine Morgantini

Hey George and Band, Thank you for a great concert in Portage La Prairie. It was by far the best performance i have been to this year. I have been to all of your concerts in manitoba and can't wait for you to come back.

I just have to thank you George for giving your fans the opportunity to enjoy your truly awesome voice. No matter how often I listen to your music I am always amazed at the depth and strength of your voice. I am sure I will never get tired of listening to you. Your tribute to Seven Spanish Angels gives me goose bumps when I listen to it. I enjoyed your show last September in Penticton, B.C. Hope you will make it out this way again. I will be the first in line to purchase a ticket. Keep on singing so I can keep on listening. Thank You.

I just want to say Thanks to you & your band for going over to play for the soldiers. I am sure if you put on a performance like you did here, they where proud to be serving and some giving their lives. Way to go and keep up the great concerts.

Dear George, I understand that you are returning to Afghanistan for a July 1st concert.
I and many others would greatly appreciate it if you would send a message to the troops who are there, but not able to attend any entertainment venues.Administrative staff, troops in the field, as well as the troops who are,, lets say, behind the scenes. Headquarters men & women who work very long hours to ensure that"all goes according to plan". Thank you for your support of our troops and the families that wait for their safe return.

George, There are some things money can't buy. But, you already know that. You will always be fondly remembered for your songs and your dedication to those who don't have the same natural talent as you. You inspire us all. I mean, somebody wrote love right? Congrats on being a great person and a great role model.

Hey George, My wife, Debbie, and I just got home from your entertaining concert in Regina and have to let you know that we were thoroughly satisfied with the whole evening. From the start with Gord Bamford nailing his songs, to your performances, we left the house feeling entertained. Thanks for all you do, especially with the Canadian Armed Forces (your tribute song was fantastic) and have continued success. We would also love to have you come to Craven and entertain all country fans in the future. Best of luck to you and your great band!

To George Canyon And Crew, I was so happy to hear that you were returning to Drayton Valley this winter. I loved your show last year. Even better is the fact that you are here on the night of my 25th wedding anniversary. What a special night that could be. Then I find out that all the tickets are sold out. WHAT!?! It is June......I don't know what pull you have with booking facilities, but we would love to see you again. Please.

Sincerely, Clarke & Karen Hickerty, Drayton Valley - 06/19/2008

Hello there! Looking forward to your upcoming concert in Wingham, Ontario. My husband and I are taking our 10 yr old daughter Leslie, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes just over a year ago. We wanted her to see that if you follow your dreams,,,even if you are faced with an illness such as diabetes,,,,you can still be successful. We all love your music and are really hoping for a chance to say "hello" to you. This is Leslie's first real concert and she is certainly looking forward to it. She too has just recently started on the insulin pump and it certainly has made her life a bit easier. Just for her to sit and listen to you and see you in person will be a wonderful incentive for her. Can't wait!!

Hi There: I was at your concert in Lindsay last fall and I have to say that it was truly the most amazing concert I have ever been to (and I've been to quite a few) to name a couple, Vince Gill, Reba, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn and they're all fantastic, but your concert was so personal and laid back and your interaction with everyone was so great that I truly feel that it was the best concert ever. I certainly look forward to seeing another concert of yours. I got your Classics album for christmas and one evening, I was in my bedroom playing it and my son heard it and came knocking on my door and asked if he could listen to it. He also loved it and since he's 28 and into an entirely different kind of music, it really shocked me (but pleased me as well) that he loved your music so much. Like I said, I look forward to your next concert in my neck of the woods (which I just discovered today) will be in June and as soon as I write this to you, I will be calling for tickets to come see you, probally in Peterborough. Can't wait. Take care and best to you and all your family. God Bless.

As a Canadian Soldier i want to say thank you for the song "I want you to live". It brought a tear to my eye and helped me remember the friends that i have lost.

..................................................................................

I received the CD with the song about the soldiers in Afghanistan on it from my grandchildren last Christmas. I loved the whole CD. George should try recording the song “My Daddy is Only A Picture” which was earlier recorded by Eddie Arnold in the late 1940s. After making it through WWII as an RCAF pilot, my Father was killed testing a plane for the RCAF in 1950, just a little while after Eddie recorded it. A family friend gave it to me after his death, and it always gave me a tremendous amount of comfort. I’m sure it gave the same comfort to many other family members and little boys and girls. It wasn’t one of Eddie’s “big” hits, but it was always his biggest hit with me. I’m sure it could give the same amount of comfort to many NATO Canadian, American, British, etc. families involved in Afghanistan and Iraq.

First of all we would like to congratulate you on becoming on honorary Colonel. We have always been big fans of yours and have just found out in late summer that you were a Type 1 diabetic when we received an email about a visit in the valley promoting animas insulin pump. We couldn't attend and were sad to miss your visit. We were just moving to Greenwood at the time. So finding out a few months later that you were made on honorary Colonel in the area we just relocated was wonderful news. My 8 year old daughter Madison is the type 1 diabetic and she looks up to you as a hero. Actually we are in the market for a pump and she said "Mom we should get the one like George Canyon!!". Funny enough, the animas pump rep left my house just a few hours ago!!! All the best and we really can't wait to meet you. Good luck with everything, God Bless.

Hi George, we wanted to tell you that we thoroughly enjoyed the “Alberta Country Salute” concert at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium on April 3rd. We flew out toCalgary to see you for Vera’s 73rd birthday (April 4th). You and the band seem to be getting better and better each time we see you (11 times now). Gord Bamford was also terrific. We got a kick out of him looking under his stage stool for your “joke” device (again…). We’re looking forward to your next trip out to BC (or another cruise). Hi to Jen and the family.

George: I was reading your website on my lunch and saw that you were a diabetic. I was diagnosed in February while on vacation in California. It is surprising to learn how many people have diabetes. It is good that there is allot of education for us so we can live healthy lives and continue on for our families and our communities. Keep up the good work and keep making good music.

Heey George! Hows it been? Awesome I hope lol. It was really fun when you came down to Grand Falls and talked about insulin pumps. I got one shortly after. A medtronic minimed one. It's purple hehe. :) It is a lot better than needles and I love sleeping in 'til about dinner time on weekends. ;) I was dissapointed though, that I couldn't go to your concert. :( I hope you come back to lil' ol' Newfoundland. Well right now I am listening to Ring of Fire it's such a funky song I love <3 it! My brother Trevor is really into your music too. He doesn't listen to anything teenagers would listen to anymore he likes really old songs. Stuff my grandfather listens to lol. But he still listens to some new stuff like your new songs and other stuff but anyways I must be going now I left my xbox 360: rockband on downstairs. Thats the best game ever in history :) lol. Talk to you again sometime xox!

George: When I heard you at CFB Greenwood, I was just in awe; then my husband advised me you were going to be Honorary Colonel. There are no words to express how proud our Military should be, to have such a fine gentleman representing us all throughout Canada. My husband has entered his 34th year in the Military, posted in Greenwood. I have participated greatly on different bases as we have been posted. Unfortunately, Karl is posted in Greenwood, we live in Aylesford and I work in Dartmouth, therefore, I am away from my family every week. I go into the City on Monday and go home to the Valley on Friday. As you are well aware, family is the most important living thing that keeps us going and getting up in the morning to say “It is going to be a good day”. I offer to you any assistance you may need in preparing for any events in Greenwood. I have already been in consultation with both the Chief of 404 Squadron and the CO, to start arranging a Mixed Mess Dinner. They laugh at me because they know I am in the City all week, but am also thinking of how to prepare for the dinner in Greenwood. Again, my offering of my assistance is there for you should you require it. heers to you and your family in Okotos, Alberta. You do not live very far from where I boarded my horses.

HEY! My daughter (15 yrs old) and I are at the opposite page when it comes to music...but when she heard you sing at the Spencerville fair this year, it brought us much closer than I could imagine. It was our first concert together and we had alot of fun with you and your music. I just found out 2 weeks ago, my favorite cousin who is more like my brother has only 6 months to live because of cancer.Your song I Want You To Live, was the first song he played before he told me. I know you wrote it for the soldiers...but it also touched us in a different way.Soon I'll be without him and I'll have to go on. Thanks for being such a down-to-earth family kinda guy. Thanks for making my life and the ones I love a little more happy and a little less sad. All the best to you and your family.

Hi George, I woke up this morning and felt compelled to write and thank you for your music, your community work and for being such a fantastic role model (for kids, families, faith, charity work and aspiring artists. Your classics cd made it into everybody's stocking this past Christmas! My family and I were very blessed to see you in concert in Courtenay (Vancouver Island), where you kicked off your tour last fall. I was the mom who told you my husband was from Bear River, NS and you laughed....most people do! I also mentioned that my daughter (11yrs.old) was a singer and the advice you gave her was to attend university. Both my husband and I are Acadia grads, so we know of a nice little joint to send her! Your concert, your music, but mostly your grounded attitude have had an enormous impact on Haley (that's our Martina wannabe!). Thank you for that - truly. You are indeed a gift. I'm sure you well remember those days when you sang as a kid and dreamed of bigger things. If you feel so inclined, you can see Haley perform a couple of songs on youtube. Pop in her name (Haley Isles) and enjoy a kid with a dream! Thanks also for supporting our troops. I come from a military family and my brother and brother-in-law are currently in the Forces and have served overseas many times. My husband is with the RCMP and works diligently to promote peace in this wonderful country of ours. Many blessings to you and Jen and the kids.

..................................................................................

Hi George, Good luck with the ECMA this year! I just want to say Thank you for the tremendous sentiment and courage in your video/song “I want you to live”. My tears still flow … I am a Canadian soldier, who did a tour in Afghanistan; I also lost my dear husband (Frank) while he was serving in Afghanistan 2006, and I did receive many letters after his death in the mail. I feel that I am no longer lost; however, there was a time that I did after having to deal with such issues as media and military policy changes that affected so many military families. While fighting for our fellow comrades when I felt sure my world would fall apart. I have tried to soldier on... and chose to continue to serve our country. When in harms way, it is individuals like yourself who bring the much needed hope and strength through your gifts of talent - your music can reach and help so many. I pray that you never lose your compassion. Thanks for remembering our troops, the ones we lost and the injured.

Hi George, Just wanted to say congrats on being number 1 song for this week on CMT. Your video Ring of Fire is great, and can't wait to see Seven Spanish Angels. I keep checking your tour schedule to see when you are coming to Alberta again, mainly Edmonton or Camrose. The Big Valley Jamboree is coming in August, and I hope you will be there again this year. You were great last year, even if it was raining. Hoping your Christmas was great with Jen and the kids, and you got to relax a little.

Hi, George. I wanted to tell you for a long time what your song I want you to live means to me. I am proud to say that I am a Soldiers wife. When my husband was getting ready to go to Afghanistan this song was shortly released. We had a conversation about what he wanted me to do if he did not come home. He said he wanted me to raise our son well, to fall in love again, to never forget the time we had together and to have my son not forget him. My husband did make it home but 7 of his Brothers did not. You must know that your song depicted the message that I think every Soldier ever deployed to Afghanistan or deployed to a place of war had wanted their loved one to know. When I would hear this song while my husband was away it reminded me that he loved me and would keep on loving me even if he did not make it home. I appreciate your support for our Troops. On a happier note. I had met you in May 2004 at an outdoor concert during Apple Blossom weekend in the valley. A group of us were able to meet with you before the concert under a white tent. You had told us you had just visited friends of yours named Garth and Trisha and they told you some good news. We took a couple pictures and you sign my baseball cap. I loved the concert. Maybe you will remember me maybe not. Your an amazing Artists and look forward to many more years of music.

I am a US. Marine from Bakersfield California. I am writing you to say how much the song I want you to live means to those of us who have served and that have lost friends in the war on terror. It is also a beautiful testament to those that are behind the scenes. The wives, mothers, who with just one loss can completely destroy a life. Its hard what we do. It most be impossible what they go through. Thank George for me. God speed to any and all in harms way......

Vera and Joan form Port Coquitlam, BC wish to send George, Jennifer, Kale, Madison and your mom a very Merry Christmas. We’ve had a fabulous year and you have been a large part of it. From the entertaining Caribbean cruise with Gord Bamford and Charlie Major, to your shows in Langley and Chilliwack, BC plus our trip down to Lynden, Washington at the state fair to wish you a happy birthday. We’ve never had the chance to tell you George why you are Vera’s guardian angel. This seems like the perfect time. To make a long story short, a few days before we were to leave for the cruise to see you, Vera was driving down the road unaware that her car trunk was on fire. She made it home safely, my brother put the fire out, but the eerie thing was, the song she was listening to on the radio was your “I Want You To Live”. I guess it has a special meaning for everyone in one way or another. Thank you. We’ve enjoyed your Classics CD (waiting for #2) and your Christmas specials, including Dave Gunning’s “daddy’s beer”. From the first time we heard it on one of your Christmas tours we knew it would be a hit. Congratulations on your recent award nominations and have a Happy New Year. God Bless.

Your Christmas special was an incredible hour of unbelieveable music. It is the best Christmas special of 2007. Your song "I want you to live" just gave me very weepy and I am sure it means alot to all our service men and women. Thank you for supporting our men and women. To you and yours, Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. Keep the great music coming.

Hey George…I don’t' know if you really read these…but if you do, I just wanted to tell you that you are an amazing artist and you are one of the main reasons I love country music so much! Because I am an inspiring country artist myself and am looking for any kind of help to make it to where I want to be… I was going to go on Nashville Star but it wasn't on for some reason this year. So if you can give me any advice or help in any way…Please e-mail me at tyson_hanes30@hotmail.com. Thank You so much!

Loved the Christmas special on Dec. 19th. The song Daddy's Beer was fabulous. My husband wasn't home, and as much as I could tell him about it, he wants to hear it. Will it be on a CD soon? Merry Christmas!

What an outstanding show we were able to watch last night from the Banff Hotel. You and your guests were a credit to the Canadian musicians. Hoping that you put the show on a CD . It was so good to see Dave on the show with you. May you all enjoy the holiday season with your families and all the best for your work coming up in 2008. Hoping to see you again in Alberta.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

I got home tonight just to hear Dave’s “Daddy’s Beer” and coldn’t go to bed without hearing the rest. Is there a chance you will release a CD of the show? The songs were amazing and such a great variety. Keep up the great work – you are the only artist that my 4 year old son can name in less then one verse and boy is he excited to hear your voice. Also as a military wife I want to thank you so much for your attention and respect for our hard working troops. I only wish more public figures were so vocally supportive of the job the brave men and women do both here and overseas. Come back to Red Deer soon. Thanks and keep the music coming.

George, I really enjoyed that Christmas special from Banff. It is great you're having some up and comers on. Hey, I MCd the Big Rock Singers Concert in Okotoks a week or so ago and the biggest laugh I got was when I tried to convince the audience that I was the MC because I won a popularity contest against you. Well, I guess it was more of a moan than a laugh. Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and may the Good Lord look out for you when you're on the trail. That goes for you too, Wendy.

Hello George, I just finished watching your christmas special, both my husband and I thought it has to be one of the best we have seen in years. The guest list was very impressive to say the least, the songs they choose to sing where sang with such feeling that one connected instantly with them. I have a great love of the power of the human voice and must congratulate you George,Johnny Reid, Jully Black, Andrea Menard, Tyler Connolly,Dave Gunning and the fabulous musicians that played with you all on an outstanding evening of entertainment that was obviously so heart felt .I hope that the CBC continues to bring this calibre of entertainment in the future as it was a world class performance. Thank you once again and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

Dear George: Your new CD "Classics" is amazing!!!!!!!!!!! I have attented several of your concerts and they were the best performances that I have ever seen. You are truly an amazing man and show great compassion for everyone no matter who they are. You also have great respect for your wife and children and must hate to have to be away from them for an extended period of time when you are on tour. I have followed you since your first appearance on Nashville Star and you definitely should have won. Keep those hits coming and all the best to you, your family, your band and management etc.over the Christmas Season and looking forward to seeing you in 2008!!!!!

Hi George: I live in P.E.I. and have been to many of your performances. I loved every one of them. I think you are a wonderful performer. Alot of your songs have special memories in them, andmeaning to them. I don't think that there is a song that I don't enjoy listing to. My Mom who is 73 enjoys your music also. I started to watch Nashville Star when you were in the top 5. And us Mairtimers are very pround of you.So keep up the good work. Looking forward to when you come back to P.E.I. Hi George, First let me say that since I first saw you on Nashville Star I have been a fan. I still think you should have won, oh well I hear more from you than the winner. I could be a bit bias being a proud Canadian and all lol. This letter is a bit late in coming but better late than never. I have listened to and watched alot of your videos since first see you and have really enjoy all of them. I am also really touched by the amount of support you give to the Canadian Forces and our families. I returned home from Afghanistan in Aug. myself. I am a member of the Second Batallion Royal Canadian Regiment India Company as well as in the First Batallion. A friend of mine e-mailed me your video '' I want you to live '' and I have thought about it quite often over the last few months. I have alot of friends on memorial plaques over there now and feel for their families. You have said in your song '' I want you to live '' what everyone of us that lives '' out side the wire '' wants for our families and friends. I think it goes without saying that you moved me to tears with that song (and still does) and when I watched it for the first time I think I needed the emotional release it gave me. Thank you. Keep up the great job.

HI George, It’s been a month since you were here in NL however there’s hardly a day I don’t think about your show in St. Johns and smile. What a wonderful show it was and perfectly names as well *kitchen party*. What a lasting impression you have made. Firstly, I want to admit I never recognized your name way back in Oct when we were invited to the meet and greet. I would like to thank you on behalf of myself and and my son Christien whom you met that day. I have a confession. I recorded a whole 2 second video of him performing with you that night. 2 seconds Im not kidding of course I couldn’t wait to review my entire video. Much to my dismay, Serves me right for ignoring the sign that says NO VIDEO. Christien and I have bragging rights now for a very very long time. Without video though. George, on a more serious note. I hope you know how meaningful it is to type 1 diabetics to meet and talk about a disease you share with them. I’m sure you know they sometimes feel they are all alone in their condition. It's great to see celebrities like yourself bring such positive attention to a not so dreadful disease. You were right, though the pump is life changing. As you know Christien started on the Animas pump days after that concert. I can tell you its better than I could of ever expected . We’ve seen consistent glucose reads under 10 that we have never had the luxury of having before. Finally we are able to sleep through 3am checks and what’s very important is Christien has the freedom to make choices that most children take for granted. I really wanted Christien to write this letter or add to it *sighs* but his social life has just taken off and he keeps putting it off. So from a grateful mother for her very grateful son THANK YOU.

Good morning Sir. I guess this is a little long overdue, considering it was a year and a half ago I attended your concert held in Fort McMurray, AB. The concert was amazing, and you seem to be an outright down to earth kinda guy. Not that you’d remember me, but my husband and I stayed back after the concert because he wanted his guitar signed, and I was VERY pregnant at the time. By looking at me, you told me I was having a boy, and to let you know if you were right. Well, you were. I had a very BIG boy on Sept. 17th 2006, 10lbs 110z and very heathly. He is now 14 months old, and terrorizing everything, but still the biggest joy in my life, especially when I get that glowing smile first thing on a morning. I hope to see you in Fort McMurray again. Take Care and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Hey George, it's Brooke who tried singing with you in the audience, when you came to Nanaimo. My best friend Kaylea was there with me & we had the matching white cowgirl hats on. I have my autographed picture of you on my night table by my bed in a pink picture frame. Sorry I couldn't find anything else to put your picture in but I didn't think you would mind. I just wanted to tell you that we really enjoyed your concert and it's kool that my picture is on your website. I know all the words to all your songs but I had never heard of burning ring of fire before so I didn't know the words but I have your cd & know all the words now. My cousins go to Nova Scotia every year because that's where my Aunt is from and I was thinking that if I could go with them I might see you there?. Well bye from Brooke. ps. I am going to be a famous country singer one day just like you & Taylor Swift. I took singing lessons & was in Nanaimo Idol. Just wanted to tell you that.

Good Tuesday Morning, George; Well, we attended your show in Truro last night and My, What an Honor it was to see you and your band in person! I was simply amazed, and I know my husband and son were too!!!!! Our son was the little boy (Sean) whom you first picked to sing Ring of Fire with you, but he refused!! He felt bad about that, but is also a little shy!!!!!!! It really made him feel very special!!! Thank You so Very, Very Much!! As I had stated in an earlier entry back in August, we usually don't do very much together as a family, but you are definately on the top of our list and please, please try to make it back to Truro again sometime; We'd be honored to
spend another evening at one of your concerts!!! I had bought Sean one of your Classics T-shirts from the concert and he had to make sure he wore it to school today to show off that he had seen you in person!!!! He is very proud of that fact!!!!! I know you must be extremely tired and will be glad when your last 2 shows in Pictou are over tomorrow evening!!!!! Please have a safe journey back to Jen and your kids and Have a Very Blessed Christmas Season!!! As I said after you had signed Sean's little book last evening, WE LOVE YOU!!!! TAKE CARE AND GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!

Just a little note to let you know that I took in your show in Annapolis Royal on Saturday evening and had a fabulous time. So sorry for all of the camera flashes but I was front row with my Mom and that type of thing does not happen every day!!!! The band was fabulous, very entertaining to say the least!!! My three year old son Christian loves his pic that you signed for him and we had to rush out on Sunday and get you a frame for his room, we have placed it next to the photo we got signed in Yarmouth. I cannot wait until he gets to see you perform!! Merry Christmas to all of you and we send you wishes for a very Happy New Year. Cheers until the next show!

Good Morning George and The Prisoners, I attended your Chilliwack concert and “wow”, what an amazing show. I have never sent in comments or written on a website for a performer before however, I felt the need to do so after last night. I wanted to thank you in person while getting your autograph however, could not choke out the words. “Thank you” so much for your support of our troops and your amazing song “I want you to live”. My family is currently living with this reality, as my husband is currently preparing to deploy in the New Year. Being away from his children for this extended period of time will be difficult however, his commitment to his country and the military is admirable. Your support of the troops and their families is appreciated and will not be forgotten. Thank you.

My daughter is a diabetic and has been for 13 years. She has been on a pump for 4 years. We went to a meet and greet with George in Annapolis Royal on Saturday Nov 17. He talked about his diabetes and some of the problems he has had to deal with growing up with diabetes, and everything he said we have experienced with our daughter. She is 15 now and is in good control of her diabetes. It is just wonderful for our daughter to hear an adult, who has done something amazing with his life, talk about something she has had to deal with all her life, and for her to realize that even though you have a health problem it should not hold you back from doing what ever you want to do in life. George is an amazing singer and a wonderful person. Just meeting him the once and only hearing him talk for such a short time, it was not hard to tell he cares about people and loves what he does. He is very passionate about helping all people and hopes they learn from his experience. I also saw him in concert the same night and what a performance. He truly is an amazing man. Thank you George for coming to Annapolis Royal.

I went to see George and his prisoners last night in Liverpool, NS and it was awesome! I heard he wasn’t feeling 100% and still put on a great show. His band is full of talent and they all have a great sense of humor which made for an entertaining show. He was amazing in Moncton and again last night! I would love to meet him sometime; I hope he comes back real soon. Love you George!

hello george and his prisoners. just seen your show in guysborough, nova scotia and just had to let you know how much my mom and i enjoyed it. mom is 73 and has been such a huge fan since nashville star that we always make sure she gets to any concerts you have anywhere close to us. this was her fourth and of course we enjoy the concerts almost as much as her.to hear her hooting and laughing at you all makes you even more special to us. she got quite a kick out of the holes in your jeans tonight. i think she was going to offer to patch them for you. your band was wonderful and i hope they're having as much fun as they seem to be having. i'm sure you have them all tucked in by now. anyway i wanted to wish you safe travels and much happiness in your career. its always great to hear you talk of jen and the kids and i hope your travelling never gets in the way of your family. it must be hard to be away from them for such long trips. its great to be able to see you in concert but its much more important to us that you're happy. by the way, just what was it you were all kicking around the stage tonight (monday)?? you all looked like you were genuinely having fun. i also must mention how touching it is to see you remove your hat at the end of your shows. your family must be so proud of you and i'm sure your dad is smiling down on you and keeping you safe. our dad is enjoying the concerts from up there too. keep smiling, my friend; lord knows you've made many people smile in the past number of years. we'll see you at the next concert god-willing. take care!!!

"Kitchen Party" was amazing. Went to the show in Kelowna and it was one of the coolest shows I've ever been too. Came home and raved about it to my husband; how he shoulda been there as it was just that, like hangin out with a bunch of friends, initmate and relaxed. The album is on my wish list as December is both birthday and Christmas. Hope you'll come back and see us soon! Be safe and wishing you all a warm and safe holiday season. Hope you will be home with your families' for Christmas!

Hi George, What a great concert (kitchen party) you guys put on last night. My husband and I along with my brother and his girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the show. I was hoping to see Bubbles come out and sing Drinkin' Thinkin' with you just like the video. I regret not having the funds to purchase your album last night so that I could get a signed copy. Maybe next time! Can't wait till you come back!

George, Thank you for putting out your latest album, 'Classics'. Ever since I first saw you do 'Ring of Fire' on Nashville Star, I've wanted to hear you do the whole song and it was worth the wait. Seven Spanish Angels has to be one of my most favorite songs and I didn't think anyone could sing it better than Ray & Willie but I was oh so very wrong. By the time the song was over, I was in tears. And the rest of the songs are just as amazing. Johnny, Ray and Waylon have to be looking down on you with huge smiles for the way you perform their music. Thank you again and keep the music flowing.

Hello…. I just watched your video of Ring of Fire. I’m very proud to have seen my niece, Cachet, in your video. George, I truly enjoyed the song and your singing. I remember my father playing this song, over and over again, on our record player when I was a little girl. It brought back some very happy memories. Thank you George. Also, thank you for having Cachet in your video…it is truly an honour. Kindest wishes.

Hi... now that the storm is over and power has been restored in Halifax, I would like to thank George and his band for a wonderful evening at the Cohn. I would like especially like to thank George for making my granddaughter Skylar feel so special, she is still taking about being on stage and singing "Ring of Fire" with her country idol, a memory that will last a lifetime. We will see you again when you return to Halifax, hopefully under better weather conditions next time.

Hi George and Wendy, Just returned from your Fredericton concert and it sure lived up to the Down Home Kitchen Party. As usual you did a great job entertaining both musically and with humour that made us all feel part of the party. My wife and I took our grand daughter Faith whose four and a half years old with us and she was shy and didn't make the stage. We have taken her to she your Christmas Show at the Playhouse, Country Rocks The Hill 06, The Aitkin Centre last year and the show tonight. She thoroughly enjoyed the show as did my wife and I. Thank you so much for signing her guitar. We have all your Cds. Faith always recognizes you when she hears your songs on Country KHJ. Thanks again for a great show!

Awesome show in Bristol, NB last night... Glad I was a part of it... Your band does an awesome job not only musically but also entertaining the crowd with you, it is not often that you see the singer and the band with such a close personal friendship. Thank you for taking time to meet with your many fans and thanks for signing my insulin pump, it means the world to me..

Wow George, the concert last night at the Capitol Theatre was amazing; it was the best concert that I’ve ever been to! And I was at the meet and greet for diabetes, you did a very good job with that, the way you explained diabetes was amazing, you said things that I didn’t know ( I still can’t believe how small the needle was ! way smaller then mine.) Well, I hope that you’ll be coming back to Moncton soon, I’ll definitely be there. And I’d really like to thank you for signing my guitar, I can’t thank you enough, it means a lot to me.

Dear George, We saw you last night at the Capitol Theatre and WOW I don't think anyone was disappointed at all. We picked up your new CD as well as your Christmas CD. I was so happy that you have 7 Spanish Angels on your CD!!!!!! That is my all time favourite song, I remember when you sang it on Nashville Star and I broke down crying! And last night George you did it to me again! We will play the CD over and over again, along with Rick Tippe's CD. Love & Warm Wishes to you & your wonderful band, say Hi to them for us.

You are welcome back to our little Town anytime. Last night was as wonderful and as magical as our trip to the Grand Ole Opry Four years ago - our hats are off to you all.

George, Changed my travel plans across Newfoundland to Corner Brook tonight. Stopped in Gander to attend your show…awesome! What an opportunity to see you in a small venue within a great crowd. Beside your great music and singing I truly enjoyed your closeness to the audience. Thank you for a great evening!

Hi George, I was able to get a ticket to your concert in Labrador City on Oct. 24th. I just wanted to say that I really appreciate that you took the time to come to our small town. The concert had a very intimate setting and I have to say that your voice is even better live! You seem like a very down to earth person and you and your band members made it a lot of fun! Thank you for the opportunity to sponsor a little girl from Thailand. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. Keep up the great work. I hope to see you here again someday!

Hello George, My husband and I went to see you in Labrador City and we could not believe you would come to a small like this to perform. We enjoy you music all the time and the show you and your band put off was amazing. The next day we also decided to sponsor a young girl through World Vision from Bolivia. It is something we had talked about doing before and just kept putting it off. Hearing you explain when your wife and yourself seen first hand where the money goes we feel honored to be able to help a child. Thank You for the wonderful night and keep up the good work spreading the word for World Vision.

Caught your act in Belleville in October. I’ve seen you in Belleville before with Gord Bamford and really enjoyed the show. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. You are an entertainer at heart. I told my parents how much I enjoyed your concert and got them t
