Ed Ringwald

Ed Ringwald's musical talent may be one of Canada's best-kept secrets. The Waterloo, ON resident is a master of the pedal steel guitar. Nominated 5 years in a row for Steel Player of the Year by the Canadian Country Music Association, Ed is best known as 'Peewee Charles', his nickname throughout his career with legendary Canadian folk/rock music artist, Gordon Lightfoot. Ed toured with Gordon Lightfoot for 14 years and has appeared on several major label recordings with Lightfoot, Anne Murray, George Fox, Jim Witter and many other top Canadian music stars. He was a member of Ian Tyson's infamous The Great Speckled Bird Band and played for 4 seasons on CTV's The Ian Tyson Show. Ed has also appeared on several radio jingles, movie scores and was thrilled to join George Canyon’s band in the fall of 2008. Ed is married 34 years to his beautiful wife Kathy, two kids Pamela and Jesse and two beautiful grand daughters Talya and Addison.
