Chris Byrne

Chris Byrne found his true calling when he picked up the bass at a very young age. Chris adds the driving pulse between the rhythm guitar and kick drum - some call him the anchorman (no, not Ron Burgundy!) while others proclaim he's one of the best in Canada. Chris was born in St. John's, NL and moved to Calgary when he was 10 years old. He has been playing in the music industry for the past 24 years with such Canadian Country Music acts as Jason McCoy, Derrick Ruttan and The Roadhammers and in 2006 won a Juno Award for country recording along with a handful of CCMA's. Chris is the newest member of the George Canyon band and proudly plays Epiphone Basses.
