Canada
AM Travels to Afghanistan to Salute Our Troops
CTV's
Canada AM will be live in Kandahar, Afghanistan for a special
salute to the troops. The two special editions The two shows
will air Thursday, November 9 and Friday, November 10, and
leads the extensive Remembrance Day coverage available on
CTV, CTV Newsnet and the CTV Broadband Network.
Seamus
O'Regan will co-host Canada AM live from the Canadian military
base in Kandahar. Seamus will talk with a variety of the troops
including high-ranking officials, frontline soldiers, service
producers and medical staff. On November 10, the show will
be feature an audience comprised of 250 Canadian troops.
Also
included is a tour of the base and profiles of the little
pieces of Canada that have been brought to Kandahar. He will
also join the soldiers for "Hockey Night in Kandahar"
where he will suit up for the regular ball hockey game that
takes place on the base.
Co-host
Beverly Thomson will be live at the Canadian military base
in Petawawa, Ontario. She will be joined by some of the family
members of soldiers serving in Kandahar. The families will
share their struggles and discuss how they manage with their
loved ones so far away.
Canada
AM's coverage will also be broadcast on the CTV Broadband
Network's News channel available at www.ctv.ca. Other Remembrance
Day coverage includes CTV Newsnet's special report from the
ceremony at National War Memorial in Ottawa on November 11.
CTV's national and local newscasts will also have complete
coverage of all of the highlights from Remembrance Day services
across the country.
